The piece of news that I choose, is about the meeting that the president Sebastian Piñera, some students from the CONFECH, Directors of some Important universities into Chile, and the headmaster of the teachers schools had the last Saturday September 3rd , and one of the issues of this important meeting, was about to extend the school day, and cut vacations.
Personally I think that this is a good option to recuperate part of the time, and use it in to finish the second semester, nevertheless I have to say that this option is not enough to finish the school year in a good way. The time that secondary student had used to fight (and are using yet), for their own rights, Was a long period without having classes. It can be a dangerous, because teenagers in secondary school will not be prepare for the final exams, and also for the PSU test.
Honestly I think that the government has to think in another way to make it face to this controversial problem, if they won’t that secondary students will fail in exams and in the PSU test.
Maybe a good way to sort out this problem, can be first of all, analyze the secondary student’s situation carefully, then give them part of the next year to conclude the school year, and also give them chance to extend the period of exams.
